I wonder if there are server-side configuration options that moderators could set to make the "subscribe to forum" feature more useful/powerful?

e.g. receive a "full digest" instead of just subject line?

e.g. receive digest as HTML?

Perhaps it would be useful for a moderator to list what the available server side configuration options might be for this, if any? And if such exist, to have a discussion of what options for "subscribe to forum" should be default or available for users to choose, if possible.
