[Dixonary] TMESIS defs!
Of which, kindly vote for two before 4 p.m. EST on Saturday 22 September,
sans use of a dictionary. 1. a stutter. 2. Beetlebrowed. 3. a contradiction. 4. the cognitive process. 5. an unstable state, esp. of an electronic circuit. 6. prolonged complaint; angry or cautionary harangue; lamentation. 7. the separation or splitting up of a word into parts by one or more intervening words. 8. the belief that the truths of mathematics are inherent in the world and independent of human thought. 9. a temporary paralysis of the extremities sometimes noted in patients with Parkinson's disease. 10. property of an elastic material that specifies how quickly it returns to its original dimensions after deformation, typically given in % change per time unit. 11. the outermost whorl of a flower bud; these are typically green and enclose the rest of the flower in the bud stage, but they can be absent or prominent and petal-like in some species. I find these all to be quite believable, myself. Dave -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group.
