[Dixonary] OT: Email Woes but not mine
I got a message today from a family member who has something strange
happening to her FB Email. I am assuming that FB is Facebook, about which I know nothing. She told me that she gets FB notifications in her Google mail account, and the sender is identified by name but the person named did NOT send the message. When she checks the sender address, it is a string of numbers, not the person named as the sender. I did not know what advice to offer. So I suggested that she immediately run a virus scan on her own machine. I also suggested that she cancel her Facebook account (I am assuming that the "FB" in her message to me was a reference to Facebook). She can always get a new account. I refrained from the most obvious solution: opening the window, throwing the computer out onto the driveway and going for a walk. -- Guerri (heading out for her own walk) leaving the computer home alone, but turned off - you can never be too careful. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group.
