[Dixonary] OT: word choices
I just came across a word whose definition is essentially an inference of
something else. My name has similar roots. What meaning it does have is just because, centuries ago, a rather famous chieftain was also called by it, and the -an suffix, in Gaelic, is a diminutive. My friend Erik's name is basically the same, too. Do we play words with a curious etymology AS their etymology? Or is that outside our remit? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group.
