New Forum Software?

I notice that I now see "you have x posts in this thread" next to some threads. Offhand, I'd say this is an irritation rather than a help since it is in a very narrow column and therefore makes the space for the thread topic, etc. stretch out. Why not simply have an icon for "you have posted in this one"? Of course that wouldn't tell you how many and the date of the most recent.

You're noticing things I haven't even noticed yet, Guerri! I'll play around with this this weekend if I have time and see what our options are.

Maybe there could be an icon that says "you participated in this thread". Or a number (with or without an icon) that says how many posts you made in the thread.

I don't know what other people think of this. I suppose it is helpful to know that you participated in a thread or at least someone thought so, otherwise the software wouldn't have been changed.

I am missing TAPCIS.

Speaking of TAPCIS, how about a hot key for "post this now"?

I'll take a look at the options, but there is a new version of this software in an advanced beta, so I'm not going to take too much time. There are lots of changes coming in the new version, and I think we're going to like most of them.

I may be losing my mind. I no longer see the message saying I've participated in the thread. At least not in this forum.

That's not something I've focused on, Nick. Explain to me what the problem is -- and why it should be the first and not the last.

If you ever see it again, please take a screen capture. The only thing I've ever seen is the icon (the bent arrow on the envelope) that says whether you've participated in the thread, but no message.
