Default pop.gmail.com certificate expired notice?

EDITED The problem appears to have been fixed by Google. Disregard the following!

I use Mozilla Suite 1.7.12 to process all of my email, including my gmail. Here is a popup notice I am now receiving when Mozilla goes to check for gmail...

pop.gmail.com is a site that uses a security certificate to encrypt data during transmission but its certificate expired 12/13/2005 at 1:46 PM. You should check to make sure that your computer's time is correct. Would you like to continue anyway?
In Mozilla, I have checked <Edit> <Preferences> <Privacy and Security> <Certificate Mgt> and there is no certificate listed.

What needs to be done?

Ah the best problems are those that get fixed without having to do anything...
