Default [Dixonary] Round 2811 DULEDGE Results

What was a kitchen yesterday morning has now turned into a building site,
full of dust and noise - ah, well, it should be nice when they've finished.

Shani Naylor is our new dealer, with 7 votes for her penny per cow rent.
Judy Madnick is the real winner with 5 votes for her tithings of ten
households. Dave Cunningham and Keith Hale both guessed correctly that the
true def was number 5 - the peg for keeping the felloes together. To
answer Keith's question, felloes are "the curved pieces of wood which,
joined together, form the circular rim of a wheel" (OED), while the Danelaw
was "the part of England which was occupied or held by the Danes and over
which the Danish law was anciently in force" (OED paraphrased)

Take it away, Shani!
