Shouldn't somebody have dealt a new word for round 1830 by now? I think
results of the last round were reported around noon (EDT) Friday. It's now around 29 hours later..... --Dodi |

Let's see if it comes out this way. When I switched to "Old Groups" I got

The Word for this round is
**************** * * * CATAGMATIC * * * **************** As usual, no indication of capitalisation or otherwise is implied. New players are welcome. Don't look in a dictionary. If you know the word, let me know soon, by email (if too many people know it, we'll pick another word). Think up a creative, intriguing, funny or genuine looking definition that will entice your fellow players to vote for it. Send it BY EMAIL (not as a public forum message) to me, <johnnybarrs (AT) gmail (DOT) com> or < john.barrs (AT) ntlworld (DOT) com> before the deadline... Becasue of our rather full weekend I have taken the liberty of making the deadline rather longer than usual 23:00 British Time 04 Jun 2012 which is 18:00 EastCoast USA 15:00 WestCoast USA .... or thereabouts and etc Full rules, if you're curious, are in the files area of the dixonary.netsite http: dixonary.net/rules or the sticky messages at tapcis.com in The Parlor |

[Dixonary] GoogleGroups weirdness
The site's still acting up. Johnny reports that he received three copies of
Dave's joke def. I got two, and FOUR copies of Dave's admission of the error in reporting Chuck's vote on the last round. Is someone in communication with the humans presumably behind all this? |
Re: [Dixonary] GoogleGroups weirdness
I try to make sure "cc" is not checked -- all of a sudden, Google is
setting the default to making a cc! Dave On Saturday, June 2, 2012 9:31:20 AM UTC-4, Dodi Schultz wrote: > The site's still acting up. I received only one copy of the message below. What do you suppose went wrong?

[Dixonary] New Word: CATAGMATIC
I'm just resetting the subject for the benefit of those who use the
Google Group on the web. I nearly didn't read this thread because it was headed "Google Group Weirdness". -- Tim L |
[Dixonary] New Word: CATAGMATIC
Tim, I missed the thread entirely because it didn't have any subject line
when I viewed the Groups site. Which is why I'm only just responding now, 2 days later. in the heat of the moment I neglected to add a title. Foreseeing a hectic week-end I did allow a fairly long time to collect definitions. Tim changed the thread title when there was still more than 24 hours to go - but while doing so he said it was mistitled as "Google Group Wierdness" -- on my records it just doesn't have a title at all which is obviously my fault Thinking about it I can award votes at dealer discretion and so as this is my fault I shall award you a DP JohnnyB On 5 June 2012 02:53, Jim Hart <jfshart (AT) gmail (DOT) com> wrote: > Tim, I missed the thread entirely because it didn't have any subject line > when I viewed the Groups site.
