I like the idea that vinegar has a ‘proof’ type rating, and it sounds nothing like the woid so 5 has a chance of being correct.
And 10 should have a name. 5. Strong vinegar, generally in excess of 33%. 10. The state of confusion or disorientation one experiences when awakened from a deep sleep. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group. Keith,
that may give you an antepenultimate feeling (or maybe even a preantepenultimate feeling) (I once remember an official notice from our IRS that referred to the year immediately preceding the year after the year of assessment and I have been confused ever since - I suppose that was a postpenultimate reference) *JohnnyB* On 09/05/2017 16:32, —Keith Hale— wrote: > Penultimate and ultimate for me 12 & 13. > Thanks > -Keith- > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group. I doubt that procrastination will lead to inspiration. So, I'll go with a couple of the negatives: 1 and 4.

I'll take 1 and 3. (But I'm very afraid of another answer -- 40 types of
buckthorn! I have to hope against hope that that isn't a real thing.) Nancy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group. Keith
if you removed the appropriate number of syllables then proantepenultimate would probably mean something nonsensical (¿my aunt is a lady of the night?) * JohnnyB * On 11/05/2017 10:31, —Keith Hale— wrote: > (((((((((( > > https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/preantepenult > > I had to look up your word to be sure i remembered right, and i saw > the truncated form. > Is it {situational} irony that the Ultimate syllable and the > Penultimate syllable were removed - if only for the senses that dealt > with syllables? > > ))))))))) > > On 9 May 2017 at 11:58, Johnb - co.uk <johnb (AT) john-barrs (DOT) co.uk> wrote: >> Keith, >> >> that may give you an antepenultimate feeling (or maybe even a >> preantepenultimate feeling) >> >> (I once remember an official notice from our IRS that referred to the year >> immediately preceding the year after the year of assessment and I have been >> confused ever since - I suppose that was a postpenultimate reference) >> >> JohnnyB -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Dixonary" group. "proante" refers to a poker philosophy requiring the use of an ante, as
