Thank you. It's a variant spelling of PLOUTE. Here's the full citation (from the English Dialect Dictionary):

PLOUTE, sb. iObs. n.Cy. Nhb. Also in form
pleught Nhb.' A long walking-stick.
N.Cy.' Generally used with the thick end downward) by foothunters.
Nhb. His leg plotted oure his j'ck pleught, Bewick
