Never got Dan's original report on the last round, although I did receive
Keith's reply to it (which included the report).

I didn't get Dan's summary either, for the record. There seems to be a
generally decreasing reliability in mail deliveries from Google Groups, or
maybe it only affects Dodi and me.

Do you think it has anything to do with the aurora borealis? According to
the evening news, that sun activity that's going on this week (and offering
spectacular light shows, I gather, across Canada and upper New England, as
well as Scandinavia) is interfering with some communications. No further
specifics were offered.

P.S. I just got the above. The groupsite seems to distribute messages FROM
me in about two minutes.

I've gotten messages slow and\or in odd order. First time, really, i've
been rather immune until lately!

My time to "play" is so limited that i'll be stretching deadlines - partly
to make sure the messages get where they need to go. And, partly because i
will need the time to manually do - and triple check the round.

As far as I know I am getting everything. I don't check my mail
frequently, so I don't know whether there's a delay or not. Google is
changing their service, but I suspect that's not the problem with the
non-deliveries. Probably nothing to do with the aurora borealis either.
Can you see it from where you are?

Nope. It's visible only well north of here. And it's spectacular, from the
shots I saw on the evening news. The ultimate light show.

Dodi - I'm reposting a comment here that I just left in the other
thread before I realised it really belongs here. Excuse the
duplication:

In all these various comments about seen/unseen messages I had
been thinking I had no problem. HOwever... I just realised I haven't
had an email digest for quite a while.

Ever since joining the Google groups version of Dixonary I have
always
opted to get the email digest of messages rather than every message
individually. Then if I wanted to participate/post/reply I would go
to
the group site and do it from there. Lately I've been logging onto
the
group site quite often so didn't notice that the digest, which used
to
arrive daily, hasn't been seen for a while.

Perhaps Google in its infinite all-seeing wisdom knew which messages
I
had read via the groups site and decided I didn't need the digest. I
checked my profile just in case but the setting is still the same.
