Keith Hale submitted a five-in-one definition with "an aboriginal word with
several meanings, including: blessing, a long-lost item or person now found,
a good deed, a horn from a ram, to wake a sleeping person or animal" and
even though he only got four votes for the five definitions, he has earned
the next deal. Guerri Stevens takes real winner spot with four votes for "a
talisman or totem."

The only other definition to receive four votes was 16: "a Japanese term for
the subjective aesthetic quality of out-of-focus areas of a photographic
image" (Dictionary.com), which 4 perceptive players guessed. I didn't fool
John Barrs, but I at least didn't make him DQ so I'm celebrating a small
victory there. Mike Harrington was the only photographer in the audience
who recognized the term. He sat out the round (although from his post, not
much "sitting" was involved.)

In an interesting statistical twist, nobody who received votes guessed
right, and nobody who guessed right got any votes for their def, leaving a
column of 2*'s on the scoresheet.

Oh - bother. Well. Thanks for the votes. I'll know not to offer such a
smorgasbord of meanings in future!

I'll slap up a new word ASAP - but please be advised that starting tomorrow
at 1AM i begin 4 days of 14 hour shifts. So ... i may need to stretch past
the usual times on occasion.

all -- if there's anybody watching. Rule Three? No Poofters!! "
