The historic word files have disappeared, so I am not sure whether
this word has been dealt. If it has, I will find another, if someone
will tell me where the files are.

So, for the nonce, the new word is:

---->>>> strid <<<<------

If this works out well, the deadline for receiving definitions from
you will be approximately 34 hours from now, 10 a.m. Central time,
Sunday November 13.

Please let me know if I need to deal another word. And, of course,
send me DQs as soon as possible if I don't.

Lamely,
Nancy

Hi Nancy
Good on you for stepping into the breach
.... which in this case actually means "sitting in the Dealer's chair" :)

STRID:
[Obs.] a cough, esp. one associated with tuberculosis

Good luck; happy deal.
Millie

https://sites.google.com/site/dixonarydocs/old-game-archive/used-word-list
has a list up to round 2224 (June).

There's no STRID. The list goes from STRENK to STRICKLE.

I think Coryphaeus downloads a new word list from somewhere but I don't
know that source.
