View Full Version : [Dixonary] Round 2253: And the new word is . . .

I saw this one coming. Oh, yes. I watched it with the eager anticipation
with which one views an approaching tornado, say, or a tsunami.

So I do have a word ready. That word is:

GLEBA

All communications, at this point, are private, to my mailbox (do NOT
hit "Reply").

Should you happen to know what that word means, please advise instantly.

Otherwise, kindly concoct a suitable definition, calculated to fool your
fellow players into supposing it's the real thing, and see that it
reaches me by the submissions deadline, which is Thursday 3 November, 4
p.m. EDT.

That would be anywhere from 1 to 3 p.m. for those in the western US,
something like 9 and 10 p.m., I think (we're getting into time-switch
territory), for the folks in England and the Netherlands, and 7 a.m.
Friday (?) for the Melbourners.

Indeed it would, but without knowing what the word really means I can't complete it.

Best wishes,
Tim B.

Very good! That would, of course, constitute part of a crossword clue in
your country.

When the round's over, then, I'll challenge you to compose a clue.
