Well, it's nigh onto 36 hours or so since the results of the last round
were announced, and no new word's been forthcoming from winner Toni
Savage, so the reluctant runner-up has become the designated dealer.

Your new word for Round 2248, should you care to define it, is:

TWAIL, also sometimes spelled TWAYLE

—which is a word, *not* the acronym for Third World Approaches to
International Law, which is reported to be an actual, albeit obscure,
political movement.

Make up a definition calculated to fool your fellow players, and please
get it to my personal e-mailbox (do *not* hit "reply" to this message!)
no later than:
Monday 17 October, 7 a.m. EDT
That would be somewhat earlier west of here, and, if I've calculated
correctly:
12 noon in the UK
1 p.m. in the Netherlands
10 p.m. in Melbourne

If you happen to *know* the meaning of the word, please advise me of
that instantly, again via direct e-mail. (Thunderbird doesn't know it. I
take that as a hopeful sign.)
