Hello, my friends! Despite a few traveling and technical challenges,
i am belatedly here with a list of 15 wacky definitions (and one real
one) for your voting pleasure.

You may vote for two definitions - by reply to this message - whether
you submitted a definition or not.

The deadline for voting is Tuesday at 10AM, US Central (Texas) Time.
(That is GMT-6.) Your timezones may vary, but that is very close to
47 hours from now.

I'll go for 6 and 7

By the way, how much yak does it take to make yakisoba?

I think they're all fakes. <sigh> For lack of any clever ideas, I'll vote for these:

<< 6> Former Mongolian unit of currency, since replaced by the
<< yuan.

<< 16> the basic unit of currency of Uzbekistan and
<< Turkmenistan

I will choose number 1 because it seems logical to me, and number 15
because I can't understand it.

I'm absolutely sure that it's one of half a dozen to which I've winnowed
the list. Unfortunately, that's three times as many as I get to vote
for. . . . Okay, I've decided. I'm going for two of the Asian ones, the
first because it might be right, the second because I think it's cute.
Those being, respectively:

> 6> Former Mongolian unit of currency, since replaced by the yuan.
>

and

> 12> The belief, promulgated by Confucius, that social disorder can stem from the failure to call things by their proper names.

As I can't think how Buddhism would have a word for 'tectonic' then I guess
#8 has to be a contender - and while I enjoyed the pheasant plucker, I think
I'll have to follow it up by trying the idea that a wrong word can cause
social disorder (Confucius, him very wise man) = so that is #12 as well
please
