I should have expected, given my lack of time to do this, that there
would be a tie. Also, that there would not have been a compilation
of results since 1634, so I'd have to look through all of the
results since then. Sooo...if this is wrong, I plead Arghhh.
I *think* Tim Lodge is the next dealer and Guerri Stevens is the
lucky runner up, based on Tim being just 2 points ahead in rolling
scores in rounds 1633-1637.
Tim: 4 3 1 3 2
Guerri: 1 3 2 3 2
The real definition, I'm fairly proud to say, fooled all but two
players. "The twelfth part of a ploughland" just struck me as the
kind of definition I might make up if I couldn't think of anything
better. But OED insists it is the real definition.
So, Tim, take it away or check my calculations, whichever you prefer.
