I have just gone through my entire mail-received file; that message never
arrived.
Are you saying that the players who use tapcis.com all saw your votes?
Did that message not get through to the yahoo listserv?
Would other players please say if they saw Carolyn's vote message? (And
mention how you receive Dixonary messages.)
P.S.: Carolyn, I would have voted for Dan's music, too, and was sort of
surprised that it had no votes.

I didn't get it either. Looks like it never made it to the coryphaeus list.

Yep. I can see it there plain as day.

Apparently not. I don't know why.

I didn't see it, Dodi. I'm using Virtual Access and picking up messages
by email from the Yahoo group.

Hi Dodi,

I read the message by mail, sent from Yahoo. I can't remember seeing
Carolyn's message. I can't double-check because I deleted the vote messages
after you posted the results, but I think I would remember, as motivated
votes are quite rare (and especially her motivation for the ambiguous vote
was something I'd remember).
I just double-checked the archive of messages at the Coryphaues Yahoo site.
The last message from Carolyn there is the one where she says that her votes
wwere not counted; the last before that holds her votes for round 1636,
gulix. I also checked the log; there is no record of an incoming message
from Caroly between these two. There is also no record of any message being
rejected in that period.
Upon checking Carolyn's message at www.tapcis.com, I see nothing in the
message that might explain why it was refused. Of course, I didn't
participate in setting up the gateway, so I hardly know what to look for!
:-)
Maybe Judy and/or Paul can find out why Carolyn's message wasn't copied over
from tapcis.com to Yahoo?
Best, Hugo

The message is on tapcis.com but isn't on the Yahoo! group. (Carolyn's last
message there was 2389, a vote for gulix, on 17 August.) And if it isn't
there, of course, players downstream of Yahoo! won't have seen it either.
I have a hypothesis. Carolyn's message was posted at 00h15 GMT on 20 August.
Messages get forwarded from tapcis.com to Yahoo every 15 minutes. Is it
possible that the forwarding dropped her message because she happened to
post it at precisely the wrong moment while it was running?

Actually, I think the posting from tapcis.com *to* the mailing list is
relatively instantaneous. I think it's only the other way around that
we have to wait for. (Hourly at xx15, IIRC).
