I decided to end the round early, as per the rules, since everyone who
submitted a def has voted and I have to go out this evening. The dealer
of the next round is Toni Savage with a natural 6. I'll post the rolling
scores tomorrow so as not to confuse the TAPCIS forum software again.

The Eskimos may have 20 words for snow, but evidently the Aleuts have
only one for rain, which four of you guessed.

I wondered, 'cause in fact that's the only place I could find it (I
searched after I'd voted, of course).

I still think it's a delightful word (and I'm not questioning its use in
hindsight)—but I'm wondering, for the future, if our mandate allows
words that aren't actually English (or adopted into English, like the
beloved /chaise longue/ of past debate) and aren't found in regular
dictionaries.
