Can't do that if I'm the dealer, Toni. I may *suspect* the vote's from you
(I think you're the only one who repeats entire messages)--but I can't
assume that, can I? So I do have to scroll through all of the crud to find
your name. :-|

Would it be easier, or harder, from your POV, for you to get (and answer)
Dixonary stuff by e-mail (as I and a number of others do), rather than
going to the Website?

I have no idea . . . because your name shows up in the "From" field for me so I rarely scroll down for much of anything!

And, as I've said, I don't go to the website. I do it
via email, using Yahoo. So far as I know, there's no
Yahoo option to *not* do barfback, but if I did set it
a long time ago, it was for you, fer sure. I've got
some time this afternoon, so I'll go check it out.

Mail Options | General Preferences | Message Actions | Replying

There you can choose your preference, which includes "Don't include original message when replying."

Hope that helps!

Judy

P.S. Gotta' love the "barfback" terminology!!

Thanks, Judy... I had either selected or defaulted to
"insert part of the message..."

I think the problem is that if you choose NOT to
include *any* of the message, then hyou can't even GET
to the original message to copy any part of it.

When I used TAPCIS mail, I could at least copy and
paste at will... here, I have to scroll down and
delete the message, discover I didn't delete all of
it, delete some more, then discover I deleted the
signature and have to reinsert it... UGH!!!

Toni, Yahoo Email does have an option to quote or not quote. I remember
having to set it myself - my recollection is that the default is NOT to
quote. Look at the top of the screen where there should be an Options
item, or something similar. But I suggest leaving it as is, if normally
you want to quote, and just deleting when you don't.

Yahoo may put the signature after the quote, instead of before it. I
don't know whether you can change that. I don't use Yahoo much and
haven't told it to sign my messages, so I haven't bothered to find out
what it can and cannot do.

Yup!

<< When I used TAPCIS mail, I could at least copy and

That was a nice feature; however, I've gotten so used to deleting parts of messages that it's second nature to me. I guess nothing is perfect.
