The big decision: noun or verb?
Oh, well. My guesses are as follows:
<< 3: to coax; cajole.
<< 12: to stare or gape with feigned amazement.

#1 is so obvious and it is first so I reckon on a double bluff so 'll go for
that. The castrated gander leads me wondering if it would still be a called
a gander (amazingly, I know how to do it, leastways, I know how to for young
male chicken) so...
#1 and #8 please

7 and 8 -- I think of "gosling" which makes "gosle" more likely
though ...
