SOMEBODY is really enjoying herself this summer! And the rest of us get to enjoy the results.

And how long did you have to wait in the blind for that sequence, effendi? Did your supplicants bring you chocolates for sustenance? Was it 105F that day? Where? Osprey? How were the skeeters.

(If she tells me she shot from her air conditioned living room through a crack in the patio door, and that that green background is the Passaic river, I'm going to crumple. I guess 45 years of no DDT did have an effect!)

And how long did you have to wait in the blind for that sequence, effendi? Did your supplicants bring you chocolates for sustenance? Was it 105F that day? Where? Osprey? How were the skeeters.Truth be told, the ospreys -- parents and nestling-almost-fledgling -- were very active right from the time I got there. No blind (and chocolate would have melted -- it was only about 95-97 that day (only!!)). The skeeters were not the problem. The biting green flies were the problem!!

(If she tells me she shot from her air conditioned living room through a crack in the patio door, and that that green background is the Passaic river, I'm going to crumple. I guess 45 years of no DDT did have an effect!)ROFL!!! No crumpling this time. This was at the Forsythe National Wildlife Reserve in Brigantine. There's an eight-mile one-way 10mph drive that runs around several impoundments and the osprey nest is on the north side of the north part of that drive. You can see the nest easily from the drive and I just set up on the side of the road:
