Distant <g> Her dad spent a great deal of effort on genealogy. While I am only a 10th generation American, that goes back to the beginning <g> so if one has any old New England names, they are a cousin. Slew of Presidents etc. And some murderers.

Waaaay other.** We*are both*into genealogy, and my dad's family comes from Connecticut.* There was a very prolific*guy whose twelve*progeny were ALSO prolific,*so we are*both distant cousins*(like 32nd or something) of everyone from*the Bushes to the Roosevelts*to*John Foster Dulles.

10th on about 40 maternal lines or so -- paternal is a problem as the Irish records got mashed in the 20s (Gillespie descendants were printed by the Beineckes - only 6 generations, though) (I have hopes the Mortimer line works). Sprague/Bartlett/Alden/Standish/Spooner/Peck/Brewster/Howland/Churchill/Pratt/Wing/Bent/Lee/Atwood/Coffin/Ronseville etc. are all there. And Billington.
