View Full Version : [Dixonary] Round 2078 - FLURT Results

This was an even-numbered but still odd round. Only 14 players submitted
definitions, and even though I kept the polls open beyond the deadline, fully
four people who submitted definitions did not vote (one was DQ), but were
replaced by four others who had not submitted defs.

And no wonder the round drew disjointed participation, considering that flurt
turns out to be nothing more than an old spelling (the original, perhaps) of
flirt (the noun form). John Barrs knew this and disqualified himself. Two
players guessed it--Judy Madnick and Nancy Shepherdson, the former, with 6
unnatural points, being the next dealer. The real winners are Paul Keating and
Dick Weltz, with 4 natural apiece.

Take it away, Judy!

Tony

Something's gone a bit wrong with your results! I'm credited with
both def 8 - which I did submit - and def 15, which I didn't. In the
summary, I'm shown as having submitted def 15. I wouldn't like to
deprive whoever submitted def 15 of their single point!

This is one time I would prefer to be the latter. <G>

New word soon -- I'm involved in a phone conference in a few minutes, so as soon as that's over with...

I don't know what definition Tim Lodge submitted, but the one attributed
to him, number 15, is mine.

Best wishes,

Tim Bourne.
