Rogue on-line pharmacy sites, claiming to sell legitimate medicine to naive shoppers, continue to be a problem. This quick note is about one approach used to insert advertisements into forum discussions that completely cover up the legitimate discussion page.

It only works if the spammer can include the HTML in a message post. HTML in posts is disabled completely here, which is much more reliable than trying to scrub bad HTML out of posts.

I think of how I used to use hand typed (HEX coded?) MS-DOS executable text files to "bootstrap" bootstrap modem programs into PC's lacking pre-loaded comms software :rolleyes:
