I have WordPerfect X3 running on Windows Vista Home Premium. I want to create a document and incorporate some of my photos. I click Insert, Graphics, and from file then I select the photo (a .jpg file). WP thinks for awhile, then issues the message "cannot be opened because width or height exceeds 27 inches". My photos are 4x6, so they certainly don't exceed 27 inches.
My camera provides a setting that will store two versions of an image: a large one (4"x6") and a small one suitable for Emailing. I haven't changed the setting although most of my Email correspondents now have cable or other high-speed access. My habit now is to delete the smaller file (.jpe extension).
Needless to say, the photos I want are all the .jpg size. However, I do have a couple of .jpe files and found that they *can* be inserted in a WP document just fine.
Am I doing something wrong, or is it simply a limitation of WP that it will not accept the larger files?
