I had a little bit of a quandry this round when Paul Keating submitted a def that had the same derivation as the true def that I gleaned from the OED. I was tempted to combine them but after some pondering, made a Dealer's executive decision and left them uncombined. I don't think that decision would have altered the outcome which gives Paul another opportunity to test his most excellent dealing program, Coryphæus. The first vote in removed the suspense for the dealer in picking my actual def, number 5, "To mutter disconnectedly" which tallied a total of 2.

Paul's nicely constructed definition "Of speech: meaningless, rambling, repetitive [Fr. _radoté_ fm radoter_ to discourse devoid of sense]." earned a natural 8 .

Scott Crom takes coveted second place
with 5 points. John Barrs is runner-up with 4 points.

So without further ado, take it away, Paul.
