Six points for those drums and cymbals? I'm astonished. Yeah, it
was another of those infamous last-minute oops! deadline! "defs."

But here we are, dealing, and the word for round 2063 is:

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
* *
* PAHOEHOE *
* *
^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

Please send your best simulation of a dictionaryish definition to
me by e-mail (do NOT reply directly to this message), to arrive
no later than Tuesday morning, 8 December, at 9 a.m. EST (6 on
the Left Coast, 8 for Midwesterners), which will be 2 p.m. in the
UK, 3 p.m. for the Netherlands contingent, and 1 a.m. Wednesday
in summery Melbourne.

Actually, for anyone who has ever been to Hawaii, that is a kind of common word... and VERY memorable if you have ever seen nighttime pictures of it flowing.

anyway, on the off chance that no one else remembers:

a small green bird of the finch family, found in the Fiji Islands.

Toni, I'd already decided to change the word. Drat. Thought I'd
found something really unusual.

It's HARD to fool this gang.

A new word will be coming up.
