That gave me a clue where to look; and, sure enough, Dan voted for 16 and
19 -- not 16 and 17. Corrected below, and I have no idea how I let these
errors creep in.

We would seem to already have a deal in progress since Millie posted a word last night. Starting the deal over would seem to create more confusion than it's worth - although Millie may disagree.
Besides, I'm not a fan of seeing someone ascend to the deal through dealer points. That would defeat the pupose of DPs, making them a double penalty to an innocent victim rather than the original idea of being a compensation for a dealer error. I don't think they were ever intended to have that sort of result. Normally, they're awarded when a dealer error causes someone to receive no points at all. Personally, I don't give dealer points to a player who has gotten a 'normal' number of votes on his own.

O didn't realize that that would be the effect, and I don't think Millie's
deal should be taken away from her. I did feel I owed something to Tim for
omitting his votes, and that's why I awarded the point to add to his
rolling score.

Were commonsense not enough, I believe we have adeqate precedent, most
recently from round 1744, to support Chris's view that late-posted points
don't affect determination of the new dealer.
