There are a total of 19 definitions for FARY, 18 the products of the fertile imaginations of the players and one from an actual dictionary. Please vote
for two, by public reply to this message, before deadline, which is 9:00 AM EDT on Thursday, October 15, 2009, or 6:00 AM PDT.

1. Any of several species of _Chenopodium_, a grain-like
crop grown primarily for its edible seeds.

2. A blacksmith's anvil.

3. [Irish] A person of foreign or unconventional
appearance.

4. Nimble; light-footed.

5. A marmoset (_Callithrix flaviceps_) endemic to the
rainforests of south-eastern Brazil.

6. An inventory adjustment.

7. _Scot._ Cunning.

8. _N. dial., obs._ Feverish [OE fær 'fever'].

9. A state of tumult or consternation.

10. A silicate of magnesium and iron.

11. [Obs.] A grain-storage facility.

12. A lighthouse.

13. Like a hedgehog; prickly.

14. Mass of coal ready for final removal.

15. [Scot] Frightened.

16. To wander without purpose or destination.

17. A Pathan unleavened bread, served with olive oil and

I've rarely seen a collection of such believable defs; every one
of them seems to me perfectly sensible (including my own, which
is the only one I'm sure ISN'T real). Sheer wild guesses:

I'm tempted to go with a cunning marmoset, but a nimble hedgehog sounds more
likely to me (that's 4 & 13).
