Judy,
Yes, on to Anaheim and let us hope that Cervelli gets a start as catcher there, with Gardner in center and Melky in left. (Cervelli is the guy who caught Robertston in that miracle inning where he got out of a bases loaded jam with no outs and gave up no runs. Amazing.
(We need speed to beat these pesky leftcoasters and somebody who can throw out their speedsters too.)

Nick.....lay off the Posada hatred. He is not that bad, and he did hit the HR that gave Andy the win.
The key play this game was that heads up, on-the-ball play started by Jeter, to Posada and back to A-Rod. That one play highlights what makes this team special. Jeter had the brains to know he had time to check the runner coming home and then throw a perfect fastball to Posada, who also was on the ball to throw back to A-Rod who also was on the ball to tag out the runner trying to scramble back to third.
The three of them, together, lead the team to victory. No more of this Jeter is overrated, A-Rod can't hit in the clutch and Posada is a weak defensive catcher.
The Yankees win! THEEEEEE YANKEES WIN!

Mike,
Sorry to disappoint you, but if you look at the games with the Angels this year, they ran nicely on Posada's arm, kind of like what they did to Martinez and Varitek... The Angels run better than we do, except perhaps with Gardner in Centerfield.
Nothing against Posada's hitting: he is the champ there.
As for Jeter... words fail, except to say that nobody works as hard as he does all the time to improve his game.

Judy,
Last night's victory was Petitte's 15th in playoff games, tying for the all-time record with Smoltz!

I think that one play speaks to the difference and improvement in this team. A coordinated, smart play executed by veterans. That play shows the leadership and concentration on the Yankees.
I was very happy to see the play being made, let alone that they got the out!
