Well, I suppose I could expound at great length on why I shouldn't have to deal this round, but I doubt it would do any good, so without further ado, the word shall be:

* * * F Y N B O S * * *

Since I'm away on vacation, I'm going to make the deadline a little longer this time. Email me your fake defs no later than 9 AM EDT, Monday, September 14 at stamps at salsgiver dot com.

But your selection as dealer is not some trivial or irrelevant topic!

Dan's comment on Mike's new word for the next round had the subject
line above. That makes sense.

What doesn't:

(1) Dave's NAD, apparently in response to Mike's announcement, had the
subject line "Re: Round 2038 rolling scores."

(2) I haven't received Mike's announcement of the new word. Hmm. Maybe
CompuServe slapped it in the spam folder (although his rolling scores
had arrived without hindrance); guess I'd better go check the server.

Following up my earlier message: No, CompuServe had NOT put Mike's
new-word announcement in the spam folder. Apparently Google just
didn't send it to me (although it did pass along Dave's and Dan's
responses to it). Weird. :-(

Maybe one of the tubes in the Interweb is clogged.

I still don't know what it is but I'm sure it's in the Ikea catalog.

What WHAT is?

(Late reply...)

I meant what Fynbos is. I was replying to the announcement of the new
word but there have been changes of the subject line that I don't
understand. The discussion started as 'rolling scores' then had
changed to 'new word' when I saw it, so I clicked 'reply' at the foot
of the new word message, as I normally do (and have done now). I also
clicked on 'reply to author' to send my real definition which reached
the dealer successfully. No harm done but it suggests it's better to
start a new thread rather than rename an old one.
