Strange. I got the new-word message twice--not a sender's software hiccup,
apparently, since they arrived some 15 minutes apart.
Anyone else?

Yes. I think Chuck sent it a second time in plain text format.

Everybody else. Chuck posted his original message in HTML and then
realized he had done that and posted it again in ASCII.
When a message is sent in HTML, there is a preface in ASCII cleartext
that is readable by mail clients (like Tapcis) that don't understand
MIME and can't render HTML.
So the first time you got the message it was a rendered-out ASCII
cleartext preface, and the second time it was a message in plain ASCII.
So why bother to send it twice?, I hear you cry. Because some people
have email clients that are set up not to present the cleartext ASCII
preface, because they are clever programs that understand MIME, but are
also set up to suppress the HTML because it might be a security risk.
