I owe everyone an apology for a late posting of these defs: a 200 mile
journey that should have taken 4 hours turned into a 10 hour marathon and I
was so tired that I just collapsed into bed - just when I should have been
posting defs.

So, here somewhat delayed, are 18 definitions brought to you at great
expense of wit and wisdom by our esteemed panel of experts. Now your job is
to decide which is the definition that was submitted by a dictionary

Vote for TWO definitions, as a public forum or group message (in reply to
this one), before the deadline..

17:00 on Monday, 06 Jul 2009 in the UK
1:30 am the next day in parts of Australia
midday East Coast USA
9:00 am West Coast USA

New Players are welcome, even if you didn't submit a definition you may
vote.

Most of them appear genuine - except mine of course - but I'm rather
drawn to the beach spirit and the clown - 6 and 10.

No clue whatever. I've boiled it down to four possibles, probably all
of them bad guesses. But I'll try these two:

#13, one who lives in the high Andes, esp. of Chile

#18, an itinerant mule-trader; any untrustworthy dealer

I'd join the crowd voting for #18, but I think we should trust our dealers,
shouldn't we?

I'll try 1 and 13.

I missed getting a def in due to stupidity... I've got a new netbook and
got all the email transfered OK, but forgot to change the outgoing server.

At any rate, I'll go for the first and last, #1 and #18.

John,

A nice selection. I'll try -

2. a South American stringed instrument similar to the banjo

and

18. an itinerant mule-trader; any untrustworthy dealer

Thanks,

Chuck
