So far, 8 defintions have been received, from the following
players:

Barrs, Bourne, Carson, Emery, Keating, Lodge, Shefler and
Shepherdson.

(My original email included Abell, which was an error.)

The word, in case you missed the initial posting, is ABY.
You still have 21 hours to submit your fake definitions for
this word, (which you should of course send me by _email_).
The deadline for definitions is

Wednesday, June 24, 2009 7:30 PM EDT.

That typo must be built into whatever program you're using; I've seen
it before. When you put the number in, can't you also correct the
spelling?

Dodi:

Thanks for mentioning this. The progress report is from a template, and I have now edited and corrected the spelling. I guess I wasn't the only one who missed that error since you have seen it before.

Isn't there some study that shows the human brain only needs the first and
last letters of a word and it can mostly fill in the middle, even if it's
scrambled or missing a few letters?

I'm sure I've used that same template and never noticed the typo.

I know I have and have repeatedly failed to notice. I just corrected the
template again but next time an update is installed I'll probably overlook
it yet again.

And most of us playing didn't notice it either!

Perhaps flawed definitions are best described as defintions, no?
