Hey, whatever the group thinks! (Since Rules Mother left the game a long
time ago.)

To me, it's a GAME, and the dealer plucks A def from A dictionary; it's not
about exhaustive linguistic research. YMMV.

made the game that is played rather different from the one that is
described in the rules.

Surely it would be better to overhaul the rules? I don't mean just
eliminating references to Easyplex (which everyone jokes about) and
Tapcis 5 keystrokes (which nobody seems to mind), but bringing them
into line with actual practice, and plugging the gaps.

The law firm of Humph, Dubious and Sesquipedalian is ready and willing to take on this task.

For suitable reimbursement, of course.

Plus expenses.

And overhead.

My only fear is that our present fragmented existence will get worse. We now have 2 different sets of people. Here on what you and I think is TapcisForum, the folks from Yahoo are all just "guests." I've never visited Yahoo, but I guess I would be labelled "guest" or "untouchable." Now it we start having all new rules propounded by Yahoo and by Tapcisforum, do we wind up with 2 new sets of contradictory rules. We've gotten along fine for a long time with most things settled by "The Dealer's Decision is Law." I would suggest we continue. That means that 1/2 the time Dave Cunningham is the law and the other 1/2 is split among the rest of us.
T was Rules Mother. I suggest we all, from both groups, agree that Mike Shefler who does all the work of keeping stats should be designated as Rules Father and be asked to settle whatever "The Dealer's Decision is Law" can't decide.
