Certainly not a "Tapcis" problem (grin)

_BUT_ I find myself having to access my (name)@CompuServe.Com EMail with out Tapcis for the next two weeks ((long sad story)) !!!

I was _sure_ that I had instructions as how to do this saved off and now when I need them I can't find them (very sad head shake). Can someone here assist me???

Two weeks without Tapcis!?!? Aieeeeee!

Okay:

(1) If you HAVE set up POP3 access to your email, then the easiest way is to use a web browser, go to http://www.mail2web.com, and enter your full email address (12345.123@compuserve.com) as the username and your plain text mail only password (not your regular password) as the password. Then you can read and reply to mail without affecting your ability to download the mail into Tapcis when you get home. (And if you bcc yourself on your replies you'll get them into Tapcis too.)

(2) If you have NOT set up your mail for POP3 access, you have to do that first. You'll need to use either Compuserve software or a web browser equipped with Virtual Key (limited, these days, to IE). If you use CServe software, GO NPX-92 and follow the prompts there. If you use IE, it's http://www.compuserve.com/communications/advanced.asp. In either case, you need to create that plain text mail only password. It must be at least 8 characters, cannot be more than 24, can't contain any spaces and can't contain any special characters like ! or * or an underscore. It must be a mix of letters and numbers (no all-letter passwords, no all-number passwords).

Then use mail2web.
