Hmmm ... a lot of windblown seeds there. I'll go for 11 and 15, although
that's probably too obvious.

I think 8 is appropriate and I'll also pick 19.

Tim B

Trying to work out which of these defs is true makes my head emulate
number 7. I'll make my escape in number 18.

7 and 18 please.

I'll vote for the improbable 1 and 6

I considered 13 as I'm going to NZ tomorrow but don't plan to spend
much time looking for drab grey things in tunnels. I'll be offline for
about the next 10 days but fortunately there appears to be no danger
that I'll be expected to deal the next round.

It's 2. No, it's 5. No wait, 7. Or 11, perhaps.

So, let me arbitrarily pick primes.

Oops. That didn't work. How about Fibonacci numbers?

2 and 5, please.

The winner of round 1995 is Tim Lodge, whose definition
"[Obs.] A kestrel." received 6 votes, plus 2 points for
guessing the correct def.

Paul Keating takes coveted second place with 4 points. And
there were 4 players in runner-up position with 3 points:
Jim Hart, Mike Shefler, Russ Heimerson and Dodi Schultz.

Dave Cunningham was awarded 2 dealer points as the dealer
posted a def which was also spotted in the wild, rather than
the covert one.

The true definition was 18: "A coach, carriage." (Oxford
English Dictionary, Online TPL, Second Edition 1989), which
3 perceptive players guessed.
