I had made a mental note to post this here earlier this week, and then things got so hectic that I forgot it until now.

The US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York filed a stack of e-mails from Bernie Madoff's victims with the Federal District Court to document to the judge handling Madoff's case (the Honorable Denny Chin) the injuries they had suffered and what the victims themselves thought would be a just punishment for Madoff.

One intrepid TPM reader plowed through the pile of submissions (http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/CNBC/Sections/News_And_Analysis/_News/__EDIT%20Englewood%20Cliffs/LetterOfMadoffVictims.pdf), and on page 36 of the above-linked PDF found the eerily familiar document quoted here (http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2009/03/wow_i_needed_that.php).

Oh we're all, dodgin',
A-dodgin', dodgin', dodgin,
Yes, we're all dodgin' on our way through the world.

I saw that yesterday on Consumerist (http://consumerist.com/), and I meant to post it here, too.

I'm not sure which is funnier: the fact that it was received by the feds or the fact that whoever put the package together for the court didn't spot this.

And people worried there would be nothing to laugh about after Bush left office...

And people worried there would be nothing to laugh about after Bush left office...We can always find things to laugh at... including (or perhaps especially) ourselves.
