According to my vague understanding it should be possible to subscribe to most podcasts (at least non-proprietary media formats) with a simple (RSS) feedreader. I did a small test of this with the my.yahoo.com RSS web based feed reader on http://my.yahoo.com and it seemed to work ok. Could listen or download the MP3 files.
For someone like me who only very occasionally wants to listen to such feeds, it seems that using a web based or browser based (e.g. Firefox Sage) feed readers would be preferable to installing dedicated EXE programs which would eat more space and put junk in the Windows registry.
Do I have the correct picture or am I missing something?
