Here are 17 definitions, only one of which is real. Vote for TWO
definitions, as a public forum message (in reply to this one), before
the deadline, which is Wednesday, March 4, at
4:00 p.m. EST
1:00 p.m. PST
9:00 p.m. UTC

1: a wicker basket.
2: [OE] an infant girl.
3: a milk cart pulled by dogs.
4: to cut off; cut short; separate.
5: the angle of a gnomon on a sundial.
6: [Origin obscure] a spirit or ghost.
7: a tax on the sale of livestock. Obs.
8: the lip of a dam, leading to the spillway.
9: (Sc.) one skilled in a trade or craft; a journeyman.
10: _obs. exc. dial._ pious hope; wishful thinking [ME < OE waemn]
11: a poem or incantation of mysterious significance, especially a magic
charm.
12: a leather thong [Scot. variants wange, whan, whane, whang, whange
also exist]
13: the amount by which a plank or log is beveled or falls short of a
squared shape.
14: a low seawall intended to prevent encroachment on seaside lawn or
garden areas by high tides
15: a half-door, generally between a kitchen and pantry and often
containing shelves for provisions.
16: a card game in which sevens and their equivalent are played in
sequence and the first player out of cards is the winner.
17: [Mining] an inclined two-wagon railway used where the entrance to a
mine is higher than the processing area; the weight of a full car
descending pulls a cable taking the empty wagon back up to the mine
entrance.
