I won't try to pretend I didn't see this one coming. At
least we're having a post-January thaw here in Wisconsin,
so I can emerge from hibernation long enough to do my duty.
The word for Round 1977 is:

or bose, if you like smaller letters.
Please make up a fictitious definition that you think will get
points from the other players for whatever reason (plausibility,
creativity, wit).
If you already know the word, you may still submit a definition
although you are disqualified from voting; and if you do know it,
please let me know via e-mail as soon as possible. If there are
too many DQs I'll pick a different word.
The deadline for submitting definitions to me (via private
e-mail, of course, at croms AT beloit DOT edu) is about 37 hours
from now, i.e.:
0800 hours, aka 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning, EST, February 8
0500 hours, or 5:00 a.m. Pacific time.
Other time zones, other hours...
Newcomers to the game are always welcome. Full rules are
