This was an low-scoring round, until very late on there were lots of people
with 2 or 3 but for once, Paul failed in his tactical vote by choosing the
real definition (#13) thus contributing to my D4 So, the next deal is for
Paul Keating with 5 unnatural points. Dave Cunningham’s small measure
provided the real winner with 4 points

Over to you Paul

Well, maybe it was low-scoring because you ended the round 24 hours before
you said you would.

Mike says, and he's right:

Is the building on fire or something? Everyone seems in such a hurry.

Take two deep breaths and call me in the morning . . .

This is true. However, he did give a full 36 hours to vote. Defs were
posted on Tuesday.

My suspicion is that the extra day in the deadline was likely a mistake
reading his calendar, since it's rare a dealer gives a 60-hour deadline
without commenting on the reason it's so far beyond the norm.

Whoops,

My apologies everyone, especially to Russ, Jim, Chuck and Judy, for early
closing, or rather for the late deadline

Dan is correct, it was a "just around midnight" calendar mistake on my part,
I had meant to close when I did

I am getting old, I do not think I have dealt a round recently without there
being some kind of mistake or controversy

You forgot to append, "thus I should not be allowed to deal."

LOL!

No apology required. I wasn't misled by the time, I just didn't log on
for a couple of days, mainly due to heat-induced brainrot as it's been
getting up to 43C (about 108 in old money) here this week.

Besides, I doubt I would have voted for a fish basket

Don't worry about me. I was busy "earning" money (and enjoying a delicious dinner with Dan and Jacqueline Widdis) in Las Vegas.

Let's not talk about age. That can become a depressing topic. <sigh>
