If you didn't see the actual endorsement by Colin Powell of Obama for President on Meet the Press, you should view it here (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27265369/). I have my issues with Powell about some of his choices regarding the Iraq war, but I can't help having great respect for him whenever I hear him speak. This was much more than a simple endorsement.

By the way, I find that I have to disable my ad blocker in order to view videos like this on the MSNBC site.

The NY Daily News (http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2008/10/18/2008-10-18_daily_news_endorses_obama_for_president_-4.html) endorsed Obama too.

Now that makes me feel faint!I never would have expected the News to do that. I mean, they endorsed Bush in 2004!

I never would have expected the News to do that. I mean, they endorsed Bush in 2004!I think the News always endorses Republicans, even for NYC (where there hardly are any).

I think the News always endorses Republicans, even for NYC (where there hardly are any).I certainly can't remember the last time they endorsed a Democrat.
