I've actually never really been away. I'm still subscribed to the mails, I
read most of them, and I occasionally release a message or delete some spam.
It's just that I'm completely swamped with activities, making it hard to
find the time to participate in the game. For instance, 9 days ago I had the
following activities on my list:
* Work
* Family
* Voluntary board member of the local music school
* Tech edit a (rather bulky) SQL Server book
* Prepare session for PASS (SQL Server conference)
* Contribute to a special charity book
* Try to write something on my blog
* Read and reply to SQL Server questions on newsgroups.
And since sunday last week, my life is still lots busier. Not for something
I'll do, but for something my 11-year old son does. You see, he has
auditioned to be part of the children's choir in the Dutch version of the
musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", so for the rest of
the year I'll spend lots of time driving him, first to the rehearsals and
later to all the major Dutch theatres.
But if I ever find some time to spare, I will try to become a bit more
active again!
Best, Hugo
