Absolutely beautiful!

<envy>

Is there any chance of my obtaining either #1 or #6 in 1280x1024 or larger so I could use it as a wallpaper? (I'm still using the default wallpaper for the computer I purchased in June, and it's boring, but I haven't yet found anything I find appealing.)

All great! #5 and #6 are my favorites.Thanks, Dan! What amazes me is that I didn't realize until this weekend that I had #6 at all. My brother and I had just finished watching four lionesses stroll along the Chobe River [see here (http://jgr2.jgrussell.com/blog/?p=93) towards the bottom of the blog] and the safari operator told us to grab whatever sunset shots we could because we were going to have to hightail it back to camp before it got too dark and they closed the gates.

So I swung around to get the sunset but the batteries in my brother's P&S took that moment to die. He started moving all around in the truck to try to find fresh batteries and I couldn't get the long lens steady enough to get anything. By the time I finished screaming at him to sit still, the sun was pretty much down and I didn't think I'd gotten a single shot.

Boy am I glad I didn't trash that series before taking one more careful look...

"...before they closed the gates"...? GATES? The native inhabitants were on the inside, or the outside? Why weren't you all sitting around, hand, hoof, and paw, singing kumbaya?

Why weren't you all sitting around, hand, hoof, and paw, singing kumbaya?Native inhabitants -- with hooves and paws -- being on the inside of the gates! It's people they keep out after hours (and the bottom line is that they don't want people driving around after dark -- it's bad for business to have tourists getting eaten).
