I'd stay away from that website. It's only been around since this
January 10th,
and is only registered for a year.
See below items for details:

There is a variety of malware which can be picked up simply from browsing to a
website.
And sites in unexpected email are the most suspect for this sort of thing.

I don't think so, Judy. It looks like someone is spoofing his address and
has hijacked the email list from the group.

Interesting that I never got it (at least not on my yahoo account).

LOVE that spam filter on Yahoo!

That's what I thought. And, of course, I didn't go to the website. <G>

Coming via my old address (guess why!)

Judy and Everyone

As Mike said, this is nothing from me.

The distribution list that you-all got implies that the dixon group address
list may have been seized.

I also received several hundred Mail-Delivery failures (all 'to'
hotmail.com) where the addresses used do not come from me at all - but are
too non-random to have been set up by automatic generation and at a rough
guess involve about 20,000 attempts to mail out using my address

What does surprise me is that google took so long to disable my account, it
didn't happen until about midday CA. I couldn't send because my account had
exceded its daily quota, but could work online. Now my account has been
disabled - I think it has actually been taken over

I use this address for a couple of list servers uses and nothing much else
at all

My machines are well protected (Zonealarm pro, AVG pro, Lavasoft Adaware Pro
and Spybot) and these softwares have reported no attacks that were not
stopped at source

I can only appologise, but I really doubt that it is my fault.

However, it does impact the

Johnny, nobody thought that you were actually responsible

It's entirely possible the list was hijacked from the address book of
another member of the group, and JohnnyB just happened to be the lucky one
selected as the fake "From:" address.

I highly doubt anyone got the official list from Google. Only group members
can see that, and we know who we are.
