lot of people really like Firefox, but aren't there issues with some
websites?

Not to my knowledge, although as everyone knows, I'm no tech authority. I
can only report personal experience: I've tried IE, the latest Opera (I
used to love an earlier version), and Mozilla Firefox, and I find that by
far the friendliest of these is Firefox. (Friendly is one of my major,
major requirements.) Among other things, it handles bookmarks beautifully.
And there's a forum (equally friendly) where you can go with questions
(another user actually provided an answer to one I had):
http://forums.mozillazine.org/

Suggestion: go to the TAPCIS Website (www.tapcis.com) and pose your
question in the tech-stuff-but-not-TAPCIS-related forum; there are a lot of
very informed folk there who can comment.

How does that differ from IE? Did you use IE for a long time? I've used it forever, so I'm very used to it. Then again, I haven't tried IE7 yet -- maybe I'll hate that!

I've had no problem getting support for IE -- but perhaps I've just been lucky. <G> Again, I resent the fact that Compuserve has put me in a position that I *have* to use Firefox to access the forums.

Thanks for your input!

Just to throw some confusion into the discussion, although IE7
introduced all sorts of non-standard rendering and other tricks which
make sites designed for IE7 not work with other browsers, IE8 is
advertised as being super strict in adhering to standards, so sites
which work with IE8 should work with anything. This must drive web
designers absolutely nuts!

currently using Thunderbird with Safari, although on other machines I've
got Firefox, IE6, Opera, and a few others, one of which has amazing
graphics. I like IE7s enhanced security features, but strangely I don't
use it on my own machines - not sure why.

Judy, I forgot to add the main Good Thing about Firefox: It's not from MS.
