Sorry about the extended voting period. Various obligations got in the way.

Three players guessed the real meaning of rank or rancid. Apparently this word
is an American variation on an older version, reasty, (pronounced resty)
according to John Barrs, who was, of course, DQ. The clear winner and next
dealer is Chris Carson, whose befuddled def drew four natural. Four players tied
for second place.

Take it away, Chris!

Argh! Dixon's Corollary to Murphy's Law holds. We arrived in Newark last
night after a great trip to Denver only 6 hours late so things are a little
bleary this morning. New word will be coming up as soon as I can get my act
together and peruse my word list.
