C'mon Dan. Are you serious? You really expect people to study Internet
routing text to find out what the heck a message is about?

Dodi,

Well -- it was indeed in reference to Mike's post -- on the Tapcis site it all shows as threaded ... sorry about not quoting back everything each time as I am too long a CS user to get into that habit. <g>

It doesn't take too long to do, especially with macros. How long would
it take to create a macro to search for "References:" (and for that
matter, "From:")?

Personally, I think it would take less time than it typically takes me
(and others) to hunt down messages on this list when threads are
repeatedly broken, and messages end up all over the place. And less
time than it typically takes to edit a quoteback, something most of us
have taken to doing on most messages.

It also takes less effort than composing a reply asking about a message
that wasn't addressed to me, even if it might have arrived out of
chronological order due to yahoogroups' horrible email delivery delays.

I recall in my early days on the TAPCIS forum being chastised for
including quotebacks in my messages, because "everyone else" could read
the parent message in the threaded forum. Well, currently, most users
of this email list have thread-aware email clients, so a quoteback
simply to identify the recipient of a threaded post shouldn't be necessary.
